Why Butch?
Butch was a dog that i once had…
He lived to be 17, despite being run over numorous amounts of times. One particular time it broke his hip, he was about 15 and he lived through it, the hip healed despite the Vet telling us he was too old for his bones to heal.
Once he had a cancerous tumour on his stomach, the VET told everyone he would die from it, but what do you know… he survived and the cancer just went away?!?!
He was torn to pieces in a fight with two Afghan Hounds, he required around 100 stiches to keep him together, and what do you know he lived through that and went on to live for about 7 or 8 years.
He eventually became blind, deaf and impotent, so he was sent to the green grass in the sky courtesy of the Vet’s needle. That was the only way he was ever going to go.
He was a purebred Jack Russel, except he was HUGE for a Jack Russel. I grew up on a sort of farm and he wasn’t my dog, infact he wasn’t anyones dog, he was a puppy that we never managed to sell, so he hung around for 17 years. He was no ones dog.
I theorise he was barbed wire and cinder block wrapped in dogs skin, tough as nails.
SO thats why my handle is Butch, I’m no ones Dog.

I almost cried when I read this story of Butch. It is amazing that he lived for 17years…although he had tough life…. The fact that Butch was alone for 17years, that breaks my heart to visualize. It’s just sad….:(

To quote a sample from a song by a band called Deus- “Sometimes you gotta be your own
dog”
keep it up with the tear ‘em up, cinder block in a dog’s skin living
