Hiya
I thought i would just put up some websites that i have used over the course of my Bachelors degree, all of them helped me out in one way or another, although some may be of no use to you, i guarantee you will find use for at least one.
1. Flash Kit
Flash Kit is the world’s largest Flash resource site. What on earth does that mean?, you ask. Well, it is a one stop raw materials centre for flash creations, containing thousands of open source movies, online tutorials, help forums, sound effects and loops, and fonts. As if that wasn’t amazing enough in itself, Flash Kit is completely free.
In Lames Terms its the place to get free sound fx and loops etc. It was originally just for Flash, but so many people have put there work on there it can cross into other editing programs.
2. Dave’s Site
Daves Site is a HTML tutorial page, if you know nothing about HTML this will make it so that you can code off by heart. Once you use this you will see how simple HTML really is, whats more your blog will look better as you will understand all the functions on your toolbar. Don’t understand? Try it out…
3. Dynamic Drive
Once you have learned HTML, you can begin to learn JavaScript and DHTML. Dynamic Drive teaches you DHTML so you can edit your script so that you can There is heaps of cool stuff there, but you really need to know HTML first.
4. PHP
PHP stands for Preprocessor Hypertext and it is becoming the new internet standard for Webpage coding. It is able to do alot more that HTML. This is fairly complex script, but definately worth learning. Want to find out more then go in the page. If you know PHP then you can manipulate your blog page, but just learn it before you manipulate anything.
5. MySQl
MySQl isthe world most popular open source Database. You need to know DOS and PHP to use it, but once you do it is an incredibly powerful tool. Similar to MS Access except built for the web.
And Lastly
6. Spybot
If you don’t have Spybot downloaded on your computer you are nuts. Your computer should have 5 saftey items (well, its up to you really). i have 2 firewalls, a pop up blocker, a virus scanner, an ad ware remover and a Spybot.
Download it if you dont have it.
see ya
