Onlines writes about how Reality TV is Scap TV, i have to agree..

Reality Tv has detroyed TV for me, it was supposedly aimed at mi demographic because of its ‘interactivity’, ie the brilliant money making scheme by mobile phone companies, it seems to have missed my demographic altogether.

I ahve not watched TV for several days now i just realised, and i think it is my subconcious’s way of dealing with Big Brother. Mindlessness hosted by a 50 year old peice of Mutton throwing the (rather unsettling) occasional sexaul pun.

Where did it all go wrong? What happened to TV? Why cant someone WRITE a TV show anymore? I watched that show about the 3 20 something guys living in Melbourne acting like 2 20-something assholes, i waited till the end to see who wrote it, i can guarantee (certainly) that none of the 3(!) writers are 20 something males.

I have written all of this before, but i think there are other ways to incorporate interactivty without it costing the viewer 55c everytime the vote.

Males like to have the latest technical gadgets, i know i do, i think its just in our nature, therefore i think Digital TV will do well for two reasons

1. Fast Forward ads, we men have an attention spand of 10 seconds max
2. The ability to fast forward any stupid, mindless teenie bopper ( i could go on) Reality TV show

  1. I know what you mean, the issue is that the media system is screaming for writers and content but ultimately letting the same jack-asses in the door everytime. They need to shake up, shake their booty and get jiggy with it. Reality TV is time filler. Okay, maybe the second time, “Big Bother” had settled down into something like watching caged idiots play ping-pong with dull conversations and oppinions but by God, where did the fifth one come from? More stupid people wrestling with themselves and each other. I love my voyeursim but I’d rather not know if the lights are on and the attics vacant whilst enjoying a daily dose of nudity.
