Bit Torrent and Me Part 2
“The Awakening”

Well, after managing to downlad over 200mb of a movie (won’t say which one), i decided to stop it, because i am afraid it will cut into my download time, and i hate when that happens because i go from 512mb/sec to 56k/sec. Thats dial up speed i know, so if you are on dial up still, i pity you.

This time i halted Azureus (my Bit Torrent Server) downloading the movie and i began to download “NOFX - Heavy Petting Zoo”. I just wanted a song, but with Bit Torrent you can download the whole album.

I had problems with it though it kept on stopping, i will try something else today, keep tuned for the next installment of Butchs Bit Torrent Adventure

My phone Doco

Oven and I were the first to do the Mobile Doco project. We actually did it before we were told anything about it.

Oven and I both being smart and resourceful guys went out with a camera and captured 2 interviews and a lot of typical university scenes.

We took this into the Masters editing suite, and we cut a 1st draft. 2 minutes of footage. We tried to export this, and at finishing it was (from memory) around 5mb it was too large. So we cut it down to one minute and then managed to compress the shit out of it, until we made it just over a 1mb. Of course, now it is the end of the semester and I have now learnt enough to know that there were other more productive ways of compressing it, but we got it onto the phone. Only to have issues with sending the file. Which was incredibly disappointing.

What did i learn?
