Underground
My contemporary, and my nemesis, Rupert, just raised an interesting topic.
The alimight (rupert aka Onlines) said “Underground films are now more contemporary films to which audiences can relate to”.
Once upon a time it was the other way around, the mainstream films were ones we could all relate to, and the Underground circuit was much more for a specialised audience.
This quote is taken from the Simpsons.
Skinner: Why, there are no children here at the 4H club, either! Am I so out of touch? No, it’s the children who are wrong.
Now replace Skinner with AFC, 4H with Australian film screening and children with audience, and what do you get?
